Tiffany Sadler, the United Kingdom’s Special Envoy to the Great Lakes region, is set to arrive in Kigali next week as part of her ongoing diplomatic mission to promote regional peace, development, and cooperation.
This will be Sadler’s second official visit to Rwanda since her appointment in September 2024. Her trip follows visits to both Kinshasa and Kampala, and comes at a pivotal time when renewed efforts are being made to de-escalate tensions in the region.
During her visit, Sadler will meet with Rwandan government officials, civil society organizations, and private sector representatives. Discussions are expected to focus on the UK’s support for peacebuilding, education, energy cooperation, and regional diplomacy.
