On Friday, May 2, 2025, President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame welcomed Guinean President Mamadi Doumbouya and First Lady Lauriane Doumbouya to their private farm in Kibugabuga, Bugesera District.

Photos shared from the visit show the presidents walking through parts of the farm, which reflects Rwanda’s focus on modern, sustainable agriculture. Both leaders engaged in discussions likely centered around innovation in farming practices and mutual learning, building on agreements signed earlier this year.

President Doumbouya has been in Rwanda on a multi-day official visit aimed at deepening bilateral ties. His tour of the Bugesera farm offered a rare glimpse into President Kagame’s personal connection to the land and his long-standing advocacy for home-grown solutions to food security and economic growth.

The visit closed on a warm note, reinforcing the bonds between the two nations and the personal rapport between their leaders.
