APR FC Wins 2025 Peace Cup After Beating Rayon Sports 2-0

APR FC won the 2025 Peace Cup after beating Rayon Sports 2-0 on Sunday, May 4, at Amahoro Stadium.

Cheick Djibril Ouattara scored early in the 5th minute, giving APR a strong start. Later in the second half, Gilbert Mugisha scored the second goal to finish the match in APR’s favor.

Rayon Sports tried to fight back but couldn’t break APR’s defense. The game ended with APR celebrating their 14th Peace Cup title — their first since 2016.

The stadium was full of excited fans, and many high officials were present, including RDF Chief of Defence Staff Gen Mubarakh Muganga, who joined the players to celebrate.

APR now looks forward to the rest of the season with confidence, while Rayon will look to recover from the loss.
